The critically acclaimed drama, "Steel Magnolias" runs from
July 13 to August 12, 2007. Set in Chinquapin, Louisiana, this
all-female cast brings to life a small-town beauty salon and its
flamboyant, and often out-spoken, clientele. When sudden tragedy befalls
the group, they find their inner strength, and love for each other, to
pull them through difficult times. From shedding tears of laughter to
tears of loss, this alternately hilarious and touching play will deeply

Monday, August 27, 2007, the Chesapeake Choral Arts Society begins
rehearsals for its 2007-2008 season.
Auditions, for the purpose of placement (soprano, alto, tenor, bass), begin at 7:00 pm, followed by rehearsal at 7:30 pm... all at the La Plata United Methodist Church at the corner of Routes 301 and 6 in La Plata.
High School and college students are welcome to join this Adult Choral group as well.
