presents Noises Off by
Michael Frayn May 30 - June 15, 2008
Fridays/Saturdays: 8:00 pm Sundays: 3:00 pm Tickets:
$15 adults; $12 seniors and students thru high school (Comedy)
The cast of Noises
Off
is rehearsing a Broadway-bound play called Nothing
On.
Watching them do so gives us an outrageously funny look at the
loves, lies, and deceit that take place behind the scenes.
Just when this ridiculously inept and chaotic cast finally
gets their performances right, everything starts to go wrong!
A joyous reminder that the theater really does go on, even when
the show falls apart.

THE MUSICAL! to the Indian Head Center for the Arts May 8-25, 2008
In
this two-man musical spoof, a pair of aspiring playwrights perform a
backers' audition for their new project: A big, splashy musical about
printing press inventor Johann Gutenberg (not Steve Guttenberg, who
invented Johnny Five from the cinema classic Short Circuit). With an
unending supply of enthusiasm, Bud and Doug sing all the songs and play
all the parts in their crass historical epic, with the hope that one of
the producers in attendance will give them a Broadway contract -
fulfilling their ill-advised dreams. Landless Theatre Co. presents their original children's production,

and Wilhelm Grimm are washed up! After centuries of glory as the
distinguished writers of Cinderella, Rumplestilskin and other fairy tale
classics, they are now overshadowed by Harry Potter, Spongebob
Squarepants, and Star Wars! In
a daring effort to reclaim their literary place in pop culture, the
Brothers are coming to One problem: it hasn't been written yet! Join
Jacob and Wilhelm as they write a play about writing a story, featuring
fabulous two-man re-enactments of Grimm classics "Little Red Riding
Hood," "Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs," "The Frog

Hard Bargain Players present: TALLEY'S FOLLY: The scene is the ornate, deserted Victorian boathouse on the Talley place in Lebanon, Missouri; the time 1944. Matt Friedman, an accountant from St. Louis, has arrived to plead his love to Sally Talley, the susceptible, but uncertain daughter of the family. Bookish, erudite, totally honest and delightfully funny, Matt refuses to accept Sally's rebuffs and her fears that her family would never approve of their marriage. Charming and indomitable, he gradually overcomes her defenses, telling his innermost secrets to his loved one and, in return, learning hers as well. Gradually he awakens Sally to the possibilities of a life together until, in the final, touching moments of the play, it is clear that they are two kindred spirits who have truly found each other—two "lame ducks" who, in their union, will find a wholeness rare in human relationships.. May 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17 - TALLEY'S FOLLY by Lanford Wilson - directed by Juliet Kelsey Chagnon starring Doug Graupman and Suzanne Donohue at the amphitheatre at Hard Bargain Farm (2001 Bryan Point Road, Accokeek, MD 20607).
