Church Concerts is pleased to present pianist and visual
artist, Jeanne Farewell, in recital and exhibition on Sunday,
November 11, at Pianist JEANNE FAREWELL has performed in the United States, Europe, and China. Her performances in the U.S. have included the Yale Center for British Art, Harvard Musical Association, Steinway Hall, the American Landmark Festivals and other venues in New York, Boston, San Francisco, and the east. In Europe, she has been solo recitalist in London's Wigmore Hall, the Royal Festival Hall complex, at the University of Edinburgh and in Glasgow, Scotland, as well as in Austria and Germany. In China, she has performed at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Beijing Conservatory of Music, and Shanghai Concert Hall. Her playing of the music of Carlos Gustavino was broadcast live last year from the Cervantes Institute on WQXR Radio in New York City. A graduate of Vassar College, Miss Farewell also studied piano at the Manhattan School of Music. She is also a writer, and her stories and essays have been published in literary journals here and in London. Her collection of stories, Nantucket Snow, is now available.
