Maryland Astronomical Society

The Southern Maryland Astronomical
Society (SMAS) will offer a free STAR PARTY during
River Artsfest. Visitors will be able to use
a variety of special astronomical equipment to
safely observe sunspots and solar prominences as
well as the moon. Additionally, vistors can
meet the astronomers of SMAS, ask about equipment
they already own and pick up FREE handouts on how
to get started in BACKYARD ASTRONOMY! |

Society is the largest group in Southern Maryland
working to preserve habitat, to protect natural resources, and to improve quality of
