  • "Kismet" Auditions. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 9, 9-11 a.m. College of Southern Maryland, Fine Arts Auditorium, La Plata Campus, 8730 Mitchell Road. Set in Baghdad, Edward Knoblock's play Kismet is a musical story of poets, beggars and love in the hands of fate. Auditions are open to anyone with an interest in theater. Auditions will consist of a prepared monologue and song (preferably one from a musical). Free. Dorothy joins the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion on an adventure down the Yellow Brick Road to persuade the Wizard to help her find her way home.

There's a traitor in their midst, but who is it?  Set in World War II at a German prisoner of war camp, this drama will
keep you guessing right up to the end.  Film Director Billy Wilder adapted this play into an Oscar
