CCAA Presents Banjo Jams: Pop-Up Old Time Jam Sessions
The Charles County Arts Alliance’s Southern Maryland Banjo Project continues with the Banjo Jams: pop-up old-time jam sessions. The sessions are open to listeners and musicians of all backgrounds and experience levels and are guided by an experienced jam leader. The first session is happening THIS SATURDAY August 21 at the La Plata Farmer’s Market, near the Charles County Courthouse. Come enjoy the music!
The CCAA’s Southern Maryland Banjo Project seeks to celebrate and illuminate the banjo’s West African Roots, its forgotten pioneers, and its significant history in Charles County and the Chesapeake Region. The Banjo Jams are made possible by the Charles County Charitable Trust’s Recovery Now grant and by community partners. Thank you for your support!
