La Plata Fall Festival

The Charles County Arts Alliance (CCAA) participates in the La Plata Fall Festival, held in October each year on the beautiful grounds of the La Plata Town Hall. It is a family friendly event, a day to enjoy being outdoors during the bright crisp days of Indian summer. It is one of the last festivals in Charles County held outside before winter arrives. The grounds are filled with artists, crafters, kids activities, food vendors and lots of fun and fellowship for young and old alike. The La Plata Fall Festival is held in conjunction with the Scarecrow Festival, a joint effort with the Charles County Chamber of Commerce, in which unique scarecrows are created by various businesses, organizations and individuals, and are displayed throughout the town for several weeks, and judged. The Scarecrow Festival winners are announced at the Fall Festival.

Our CCAA tent at the La Plata Fall Festival is filled with information, brochures and takeaway items on arts programs and activities in Charles County. We encourage new members to join us at any time.
