Celebrate La Plata Day

The Charles County Arts Alliance (CCA) participates each year in the Celebrate La Plata Day held on the beautiful grounds of the La Plata Town Hall. La Plata is a quaint small town and county seat of Charles County, Maryland. It was founded following the arrival of the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad in Charles County in 1873. The Town of La Plata sponsors Celebrate La Plata Day in April each year to commemorate the town’s incorporation on April 4, 1888.

The CCAA is pleased to present our CCAA information tent at Celebrate La Plata Day. We enjoy sharing information on our organization and its many programs with La Plata town residents, visitors and tourists, and we encourage membership for those that are interested in supporting our organization’s mission of promoting all the arts in Charles County. Celebrate La Plata Day is one of the earliest outdoor events we participate in each year, and has become a “rite of spring” – we truly enjoying getting outdoors and marketing our great organization and our very talented local artists to our fellow citizens.
