Maryland Arts Day in Annapolis

The Charles County Arts Alliance (CCAA) has participated in Maryland Arts Day in Annapolis for the past three decades! It is an annual statewide event in which arts advocates converge in Annapolis for one day each year to demonstrate our support for the arts, arts education, and the annual budget request for the Maryland State Arts Council currently under consideration by the Maryland General Assembly. Maryland Arts Day is sponsored by Maryland Citizens for the Arts, of which the CCAA is a proud member. Maryland Arts Days have included distinguished keynote and guest speakers, award ceremonies, workshops, live entertainment, and excellent opportunities to network with other arts advocates from across the state. Over 400 citizens typically participate in Maryland Arts Day each year.

Due to the pandemic, this event has been held virtually for the past three years 2020-2023. This year will be the first since the pandemic that Maryland Arts Day in Annapolis will be held in person and will take place on February 13, 2024.
