Nominations for CCAA Arts Teachers  – TBD

COVID-19 has forever changed the creative community. Teachers, artists, and their industries have been greatly impacted – doors have closed on schools, libraries, galleries, and performance spaces around the world. The pressure to adapt has been felt by many, but none more acutely than arts educators.

The CCAA-sponsored Teacher of the Year program rewards three hardworking, dedicated teachers in Charles County – an Elementary, Middle, and High School teacher in an arts discipline – with the recognition and financial support they deserve, as they continue to guide their students despite continued uncertain and stressful circumstances. An all-online nomination and application process determines the candidates; then a review panel consisting of up to three CCAA members and two CCAA representatives evaluates the applications. An award ceremony to honor the awardees will publicly broadcast so that the community can celebrate while staying safe at home.
