On Wednesday, February 12, the Charles County Arts Alliance will join over 400 arts advocates from across the State of Maryland to rally and meet with local elected officials to express how important the arts are to us. We will stress how we, the citizens of Charles County, benefit directly from annual grant funding provided by the Maryland State Arts Council.


Arts Alliance Presents 22 Local Artists in New Exhibit at Waldorf West Library Galleries

The Charles County Arts Alliance proudly presents the fourth public, multi-media art exhibit at the new Waldorf West Library. Forty-two artworks from local artists are on display from October 3 – December 31, 2013.

Artists were invited to submit up to two pieces on any topic or medium. Gale Kladitis, CCAA Vice President and Chair of the Gallery Committee, stated, “I look forward to seeing a great crowd at our next “Meet the Artists” Public Reception to be held on Saturday, December 14 , 2013, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.”

The twenty-two artists chosen for the fall show are:

Theresa Alo, Cindi Barnhart, Patricia Biles, Aimee Bonnet, Patrick Burke, Erin Doyle, Cecelia Dunay, Gale Euchner, Don Faust, Betty Fuqua, Jo Ann Gilhooly Lorina Griffioen-Harris, Doris Hall, Jeremy Harpold, Shanese Hirmas, Euodia Jorai, Vicki Marckel, Nancy Owens, Annabel Russell, Shon Simpson, Nikole Smith and Keri Williams.

Four separate gallery spaces are located within Waldorf West Library and include a large conference room, two study rooms, and wall space in the Fiction section.

Spring Dell Center Artists Exhibit at Commissioner's Gallery

The Charles County Arts Alliance (CCAA) presents a special exhibit of local artists from the Spring Dell Center at the Commissioner’s Gallery. The exhibit will be held from January – March 2013.


Maryland Arts Day Almost Here!

Maryland Citizens for the Arts (MCA) will hold the 15th Maryland Arts Day in Annapolis on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, and you are invited! Maryland Arts Day is the most important arts advocacy event of the year in Maryland, bringing the many, varied voices of the artistic community together in support of state funding for the arts and the Maryland State Arts Council.


Charles County Arts Alliance Call for Entries!

The Charles County Arts Alliance invites Charles County artists to propose artworks for its second exhibit in their new gallery space at the recently opened Waldorf West Library.
