“Meet the Artists” Public Reception on March 22

The Charles County Arts Alliance is presenting its first “Meet the Artists” Public Reception of 2014 on Saturday, March 22, at the Waldorf West Library in St. Charles. The reception takes place from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the main gallery located on the first floor. Light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.

The Charles County Arts Alliance manages four separate gallery spaces year-round on two floors of the Waldorf West Library, in partnership with the Charles County Public Library. The current multimedia exhibit showcases 19 local artists and is the fifth art exhibit to be presented by the Arts Alliance since the Waldorf West Library opened in November 2012. It is taking place during the period of January 2 through March 28, and is focused on “Artists Choice.”

Nineteen artists with a total of 32 artworks were selected for display for the current show. They are: Theresa Alo, Cindi Barnhart, Patricia Biles, Erin Doyle, Cecelia Dunay, Gale Euchner, Don Faust, Jo Ann Gilhooly, Kylus F. Harris, Lorina Harris, Ingrid M. Hayes, Josh Hettel, Gordon R. Johnson, Belinda Hudnall Keller , Vicki Marckel, Jamie Oliver, Rebecca Polis, Annabel Lee    Russell and Ashley Saldana.

Gale Kladitis, CCAA Vice President and Chair of the Gallery Committee, stated, “I look forward to seeing a great crowd at our next “Meet the Artists” Public Reception to be held on Saturday, March 22, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.”

Founded in 1987, the mission of the Charles County Arts Alliance is to stimulate, promote, encourage and provide recognition of the arts and the creative spirit in Charles County, Maryland. The CCAA promotes all the arts: music, visual art, drama, dance and literature.
